The Bakehouse
This old Wychert constructed house had been previously renovated by a well respected architect in the 1960’s but was in need of modernisation. An old rickety lean-to was demolished and a large dormer window removed and in their place, new flush velux windows and a stunning rear extension which uses sliding doors connected by a floating corner and the continuation of tiles from the house to the garden to blur the lines between the inside and out. Inside, a new staircase and lighting were installed and a high level cupboard door.
